DERMATOLOGY AND VENEREOLOGY

Dermatovenereology is a specialty dealing with the diagnosis and treatment of bacterial, viral, allergic and other skin diseases, as well as sexually transmitted diseases and diseases of the skin appendages (nails, hair, sweat and sebaceous glands, etc.).
Microscopic, serological and microbiological tests are carried out to diagnose these diseases.
Dermatoscope and apparatus for electrocoagulation and cryotherapy of viral and benign skin-formations are available.

Additional qualifications in Physiotherapy and Radiology in Dermatology (1989); Homeopathy – two years training cource in the French homeopathic school system (2009).
Professional experience – over 35 years of work experience, including 30 years in the field of Skin and Venereal diseases.

Dr. Mariana Atanasova

Graduated Medical University of Pleven (1989).
Specialty in Dermal and Venereal Diseases (1996).
Additional qualifications – Specialization in Oncodermatology, Dermatosurgery, Cosmetology, Pediatric Dermatology; Certificate for the placement of fillers and Botox, cosmetic and healing peels.
Worked as a Dermatologist in the Department of Skin Diseases at MU Pleven; Ordinator and later Head of Oncodermatology Department at the Oncology Center Pleven.
Acquired second Master’s Degree in Economics and Health Management at SA “D.Tsenov” – Svishtov (2003).
Performs electrocoagulation and small surgical interventions for benign and malignant skin and mucous membranes.
